Second, radio pirate Bill Spry has gone legit. Story from the Cincinnati Enquirer No FRN postings this week. But a good post in Alt.Radio.Pirate and in Rec.Radio.Shortwave there is news that the Ten Tec RX-350D receiver has been discontinued. from the FREE RADIO WEEKLY, stations heard this week include: WBNY, MAC Shortwave Radio Free Speech. I found a good broadcast radio show about shortwave radio called the International Radio Report Hosted by Janice and Steve Karlock. Glen Hauser's World Of Radio has a story about a church in Florida that was once busted by the FCC that is now applying for a shortwave licence. He also mentions a Low power database by Terry L. Krueger. From the Evening Star, Shaun Brown has launched a new radio station over the Internet to pay homage to the pop pirates of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Called Radio North Sea Gold We Go through a few select posts from the FRN and Alt.Radio.Pirate As well as the recent stations heard as noted on the Free Radio Weekly. I share some off air recordings from the last week including WSUC, MAC and DE WBNY (cw). In other radio news a favorite website of mine has moved. Radio Informer has new digs & look, check out the You Tube videos they have on the left. Also a news item that the UK is finally legalizing portable FM transmitters for your MP3 Players.
